Ex-CIA Director: CIA would consider Kushner actions 'espionage'
Former acting CIA director John McLaughlan on Friday responded to reports that President Trump's son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner discussed setting up a secret communications line between Trump's transition team and the Kremlin, saying if such reports are true, it would be considered espionage.
"I don’t want to overstate this because obviously there is a lot we don’t know — we don’t know the exact content of the conversation. We don’t know the objective that was a part of the conversation — those things we don’t know," McLaughlan said on MSNBC's "The Last Word" Friday.
"But I can’t keep out of my mind the thought that, if an American intelligence officer had done anything like this, we’d consider it espionage.”

Kushner under pressure to take hiatus from White House: report
NEW: @jonkarl: People close to the president are saying it might be time for Jared Kushner to take a leave of absence from the White House. pic.twitter.com/pIgqkNJNx1
— This Week (@ThisWeekABC) May 28, 2017
Administration officials close to President Trump are reportedly pushing White House advisor Jared Kushner to take a leave of absence amidst recent reports that he is under FBI scrutiny.
The FBI is reportedly interested in Kushner as part of its investigation into Russia’s meddling in the presidential election.
A Sunday report on ABC News’ “This Week” said members of the Trump circle are wondering if Kushner will need to step aside.
Reports last week said Kushner, who is also Trump’s son-in-law, had come under scrutiny in the FBI’s Russia probe over his contacts with the Russian ambassador and a Russian banking executive.
Following those reports, Kushner faced renewed scrutiny after the The Washington Post on Friday said he sought to establish private communication with Russia.

Jared Kushner Seems To Think He Can Go Back To New York And Escape Potential Russia Crimes
The New York Times reported, “Still, there are signs that he is tiring of the nonstop combat and the damage to his reputation. He has told friends that he and his wife, Ivanka Trump, have made no long-term commitment to remain by Mr. Trump’s side, saying they would review every six months whether to return to private life in New York.”
The bad news for Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump is that they aren’t going to be able to walk back into their old lives and escape their part in working for Daddy Dearest.
At best, Jared Kushner has gotten himself involved in lying on his security clearance form multiple times. At worst, Kushner may have committed crimes against the United States of America. These are not simple problems that will go away if one decides to resign their post as a White House Senior Adviser and go back home to the Big Apple.

Trump will reportedly exit Paris climate deal, making us a rogue nation
The move could pave the way for other defectors — like Putin’s Russia.
After persuading voters that America isn’t great anymore, Trump apparently intends to make sure of it — by having this country lead the effort to kill humanity’s last, best hope of avoiding catastrophic climate change.
Quitting a unanimous agreement by 190+ nations after a two-decade negotiating process would make us a rogue nation, a global pariah, like Vladimir Putin’s Russia. And, it could make Putin happy, as we’ll see.
“Will Trump repay Putin by ending Russian sanctions and killing the Paris climate deal?” was a question I posed back in January, examining the growing evidence Russia helped elect Trump and questioning what kind of quid pro quo there could be. Politically, Trump can’t end the sanctions now given the explosive news of recent weeks on the FBI investigation into collusion between his campaign in Russia.
As of May 14, the U.N. reports Russia still hasn’t ratified the deal — and Russia has said it won’t until 2019 or 2020 at the earliest. If the president of the second-largest emitter exits Paris, then the fifth-largest emitter will have a great excuse to opt out, too. Together they could deal a fatal blow to the ongoing negotiating process.

Grassley calls for investigation into Chinese promotion of Kushner family company deal
Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), the chairman of the Judiciary Committee, is calling for an investigation into “potentially fraudulent statements and misrepresentations” made by a Chinese company promoting investments in property partly managed by White House adviser Jared Kushner's family's company.
Reuters noted that Grassley cited one of its reports in a May 25 letter to the Department of Homeland Security and the Securities and Exchange Commission calling for the probe.
Given all of these concerns, a closer look at Qiaowai Group and the U.S. Immigration Fund are clearly warranted, as reports suggest both companies have long employed questionable practices,” Grassley wrote.
Qiaowai and Kushner Companies are looking for investors to help finance a pair of luxury apartment buildings as part of the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Visa Program. That program offers visas in exchange for a $500,000 investment in a U.S. business.

U.S. companies no longer know rules of game under Trump, Hasbro director says
Confusion surrounding the trade policies of U.S. President Donald Trump's administration means U.S. companies no longer know the rules of the game, a board member and former CEO of toymaker Hasbro (HAS.O) told an international conference on Monday.
Alan G. Hassenfeld, whose family founded America's second largest toymaker in the 1920s, said: "We thought, you know, if you run a business today you would like to know what the rules of the game are," Hassenfeld at told the Horasis conference, attended by business leaders, politicians and academics to discuss globalization and other challenges for corporations.
"Right now in America we don't know what the rules of the game are. They are changing constantly," said Hassenfeld, a billionaire with a large stake in Hasbro, whose stock has risen 34 percent this year and is now at all-time highs.
Hasbro makes many of its toys outside of the United States and has markets worldwide. Hassenfeld said there was great uncertainty on trade with Trump.

German foreign minister: Trump has weakened the West
Germany's foreign minister on Monday said that President Trump’s actions have weakened the West.
“Anyone who accelerates climate change by weakening environmental protection, who sells more weapons in conflict zones and who does not want to politically resolve religious conflicts is putting peace in Europe at risk,” Sigmar Gabriel said, according to CNN.
“The short-sighted policies of the American government stand against the interests of the European Union. The West has become smaller, at least it has become weaker.”

White House says leaks “close to treason” while Trump says they are just fake news
Today in Trump Tweets.
“I believe when you leak the kind of information that seems to be routinely leaked — high, high level of classification… I think it’s darn close to treason,” Kelly said.
It is my opinion that many of the leaks coming out of the White House are fabricated lies made up by the #FakeNews media.

Was bleibt? Man macht Obama nass
