Trump Associates Are Now Under Investigation For Possible ‘Money Laundering’
The entire Trump administration is quickly becoming the subject of multiple criminal investigations.

In addition to investigating whether or not Donald Trump committed obstruction of justice by firing former FBI Director James Comey, a New York Times report published Wednesday revealed that special counsel Robert Mueller is also investigating “money laundering” by Trump associates.

The Times bombshell report was confirmed by a Washington Post article that said in addition to possible obstruction, investigators are also “looking for any evidence of possible financial crimes among Trump associates.”

“A former senior official said Mr. Mueller’s investigation was looking at money laundering by Trump associates,” a source told the Times.

“The suspicion is that any cooperation with Russian officials would most likely have been done in exchange for some kind of financial payoff, and that there would have been an effort to hide the payoffs, most likely by routing them through offshore banking centers.”

The POTUS is tweeting himself into more problems.

Immediately after the report, Trump lashed out on Twitter — calling the investigation a “WITCH HUNT” by “some very bad and conflicted people.”
He also insinuated that the obstruction charge was meaningless, because the original crime under investigation — that the Trump campaign colluded with the Russian election hacking — hadn’t been proven....

...His assumption roughly echoes the RNC talking points issued about the Washington Post report, which allege that the obstruction charge is just a cover for the lack of evidence of collusion.
Both of these, however, glide over one fundamental fact: It’s not necessary for the underlying crime to have been committed by the person — or even to exist — for that person to commit obstruction of justice.

In this case, if Trump intended to interfere with the investigation into the Russian collusion, even if ultimately the special counselor concludes no Russian collusion occurred, Trump could still be found guilty of attempted interference of an ongoing investigation.
One way we know that? It’s happened before.

Du ahnst ja nicht, wie glücklich mich es machen würde, wenn endlich aus "soll haben" ein IST werden würde. Dann muss ich mir nicht mehr laufend Trumpismus vorwerfen lassen, nur wenn ich feststelle, dass es bisher eben keine Ermittlungen gegen Trump selbst GIBT. Herrje, dann ermittelt halt Mueller endlich gegen Trump. Muss er halt nur was finden, dann muss ich auch kein "Fanboy"-Gelaber mehr anhören, dass es da bisher nur Dummschwatz gibt.
